In the press — DOSZ Coffee sets its sights on 100 outlets
Sinar Harian reported our expansion plans on our first anniversary, as the eighth outlet opened at Menara Allianz Sentral.
On 13 June 2023, Sinar Harian ran a business piece on DOSZ Coffee under the headline *"Dosz Coffee sasar buka 100 outlet seluruh negara"*, written by Mukhriz Mat Husin. Harian Metro covered the same story.
The occasion was our first anniversary, marked a day earlier with the opening of our eighth outlet in the lobby of Menara Allianz Sentral in Kuala Lumpur.
What was reported
The paper reported a target of 100 outlets nationwide within three to five years, with at least fifteen by the end of that year. It listed Nilai in Negeri Sembilan as the next opening, built to an eco-friendly concept, followed by Melaka, Pulau Pinang and Johor Bahru.
It also reported what we were building behind the counter: an ordering app of our own, delivery through Grab, FoodPanda and Shopee, and a supply chain that leans on local suppliers.
Kami memang tak sangka berjaya kembangkan perniagaan kami secepat ini tetapi alhamdulillah ramai yang hubungi kami.
Effendy, quoted in Sinar Harian, 13 June 2023
Where that stands now
The app arrived — myDOSZ, on both the App Store and Google Play. The outlet count has kept climbing, and Substation by DOSZ Coffee has since joined it as a second, smaller format for lobbies and high-traffic spots.
